Heights Line

Get Involved!

Volunteer. Donate. Participate.

The Heights Line demonstration project is resident-led, grassroots driven. This is not a plan that sits on the shelf. Heights Line will be a three dimensional project that requires sweat equity to bring alive. Everyone in the community is invited to participate, regardless of skill, ability, or experience. If you are interested in being involved, please contact us.

There are also opportunities for those with specific skills to be involved. Let us know if you would like to contribute your experience in any of these areas:

  • community engagement
  • landscaping
  • woodworking
  • traffic counts
  • public and media relations
  • visual and performing arts
  • graphic design, photography, and videography

There are several opportunities coming up that you can register for here

We believe Heights Line is not only important to the Heights Neighborhood, but is important to the city of Memphis, so we are providing opportunities for individuals or organizations anywhere in Memphis to be a part of this project. And quite frankly, we can use all the help we can get. If you would like to be recognized as an official Heights Line sponsor, please download our sponsor packet. If you don't have time or money to give, we also need a lot of materials to build the project. Download the resource sheet if you are interested in making donations in kind.

One of the most important ways you can support Heights Line and the Heights Neighborhood is to come out and enjoy the Heights Line demonstration project on National Street between Tutwiler Avenue and Bowen Avenue from October 7 to November 11, 2017. Check out the promenade concept and share your thoughts about what we got right and ways to improve as we pursue commitments for permanent infrastructure investments on National Street.

If you would like to be a part of our design and planning sessions for Heights Line, join us every Thursday in August and September at 6 pm at the Collegiate School of Memphis, 3353 Faxon Avenue.
